‘King of Pop’ Michael Jackson, Dead at Age 50; Farrah Fawcett, Dead at Age 62…

[singlepic id=98 w=320 h=240 float=left] The entertainment industry has lost two great figures today. Farrah Fawcett, first catapulted to fame with “Charlie’s Angels” and Michael Jackson, the king of pop.

Official reports state that Jackson died of a heart attack, with Farrah Fawcett passing on after a long battle with anal cancer. [singlepic id=97 w=320 h=240 float=right]

I vividly remember the first time I saw the ‘Thriller” video, and used to go around clutching my copy of the ‘Thriller” album (and if I could find it would probably be worth a lot more now). Michael Jackson, no matter how you viewed his personal life, was an icon of song and dance, with a career spanning a lifetime. His “Thriller” album won eight Grammy’s and was the best selling album of all time. He pioneered the “moonwalk” along with many other milestones in the music industry.

Bridge to Hawaii

A man was riding his Harley along a California beach when suddenly the sky clouded above his head and, in a booming voice, The Lord said,
‘Because you have TRIED to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant
you one wish.’

The biker pulled over and said, ‘Build a bridge to Hawaii so I can ride
over anytime I want.’

The Lord said, ‘Your request is materialistic, think of the enormous
challenges for that kind of undertaking; the supports required too reach
the bottom of the Pacific and the concrete and steel it would take! It
will nearly exhaust several natural resources. I can do it, but it is
hard for me to justify your desire for worldly things. Take a little
more time and think of something that could possibly help mankind.’

The biker thought about it for a long time. Finally, he said, ‘Lord, I
wish that I, and all men, could understand our wives; I want to know how
she feels inside, what she’s thinking when she gives me the silent
treatment, why she cries, what she means when she says nothing’s wrong, and how I can make a woman truly happy.

The Lord replied, ‘You want two lanes or four on that bridge?’

And The Best Movie Of All Time According To Yakkity Yaks Is……

It started just under a month ago here at Yakkity Yaks. One hundred movies were paired up against each other, tourney style, to see which one our devoted Yakksters would decide to be the best movie of all time. It was a hard fought battle, with a lot of blood, sweat and tears shed along the way. Comedy? Drama? Action? Sci Fi? Horror? Classic? Which one would it be?

Eventually it was narrowed down to our final two, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest vs. The Godfather Part II and then the Yakksters were given a week to vote on which one they thought was the best. And now we have a winner!! The best movie of all time, according to Yakkity Yaks is………….may I have the envelope please?
