Now that Big Brother is sadly over, the forum is buzzing with talk of the Amazing Race! Come on and join us!
STUDIO CITY, Calif. (CBS) ―
My friend/co-worker/favorite two-time Big Brother contestant Diane Henry is one of the smartest people I know; she competed on a CBS show before her employment at the company prohibited her from doing so (and came pretty darn close to winning the coveted $500,000 prize during Season 5, too).
I, on the other hand, am deeply saddened to be ineligible for one of the best reality shows on television: The Amazing Race. With mega-producer Jerry Bruckheimer at the helm and jet-lagged contestants competing for $1 million every season, it’s no wonder the primetime hit – which takes viewers around the world from the comfort of their couches – has won all six Outstanding Reality Competition Program awards that have been given.
I recently sat down with host Phil Keoghan and all 12 teams competing on Season 15, which premieres Sunday, Sept. 27, at 8 p.m. on CBS 2. From Harlem Globetrotters to professional poker players, it’s easy to see why these unique contestants were selected. Meet them all:
Maria, 26, and Tiffany, 25
Hometown: Arcadia, Calif./Los Angeles, Calif.
Occupation: Professional Poker Players (Tiffany was the last woman standing at the World Series of Poker Main Event in 2008, an honor Maria held in 2007)
Relationship: Best Friends
Most likely to: play the other contestants
It’s Hump Day yet again … You know what that means Yakksters? *NO* the word hump has nothing to do with this. Minds out of the gutter please. It’s time for the next edition of Yak’s Reality Check! We’ve got a full lineup ahead of us, so click below and let’s get started. More updates to come! Don’t forget to come discuss in our forums!Details
Summer lovin’, had us a blast……..summer lovin’, happened so fast! Big Brother 11 is officially over and WOW, what a summer it was! We had tears, laughter, fights galore, and an expulsion!
But one thing’s for sure, it was the summer of JeJo! Or, if you prefer, Jordeff. Jeff has to be, by far, one of the most popular houseguests ever to come on Big Brother, as is evidenced by his CDT win AND tonight’s America’s Choice Favorite Houseguest win. Jordan also shared her modem of popularity, as she won the America’s Choice Jury Vote, which gave her the 5-2 win.
Jeff and Jordan weren’t your stereotypical showmance either. A showmance, by it’s very definition, is two people flirting and such in the Big Brother house, using each other to further themselves in the game while having no real romantic interest in each other. Jeff and Jordan, we truly believe, did have interest in each other and weren’t using each other. They truly cared for one another. Now that may not translate outside of the house but they had each other, in the game and outside the game as well…..in the human moments.Details
