While the season of the latest Celebrity Apprentice does not start filming in New York City until some time next week, 3 celebs of the latest cast to take on the Trumpster have been confirmed. According to various reports, a source close to the Apprentice has confirmed that Mark McGrath, Star Jones, and LaToya Jackson will be among those trying to avoid hearing the words “You’re Fired!”
Jackson appeared in UK’s version of Celebrity Big Brother in 2009 and shared the house with Coolio, among others. Best known for his role in the band Sugar Ray, McGrath was also the former co-host of Extra and is now the host of the syndicated version of Don’t Forget the Lyrics. Of course, Star Jones is best known for her stint as co-host of ABC’s The View for 9 years until she left the show in 2006. Since then, she has appeared on a celebrity edition of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader.
As stars trickle into NYC within the next week, it’s likely more names will be leaked as to the cast of the latest Celebrity edition. The Apprentice, currently showcasing “average Joes” airs Thursday nights at 10pm EST on NBC. Ratings for this non-celeb edition have reached record lows so far this season. The Celebrity Apprentice will air early 2011. What do you think about these 3 contestants? Looking forward to seeing them compete with Trump? Who else would you like to see?
