ABC Announces Summer Plans – Rookie Blue, Whodunit, Wipeout & More

abc-logoJust after ABC rounded out the major networks announcing their season ender plans, the Alphabet network has also decided to roll out their summer plans.

Kicking off the summer will be Rookie Blue, which will premiere May 23 at 10/9c! ABC will also be adding two new dramas to their summer schedule. Alyssa Milano headed Mistresses (also featuring Yunjin Kim, Rochelle Aytes and Jes Macallan), will kick off a week later than originally planned – on June 3 at 10/9c. The drama will follow The Bachelorette (not a bad pairing, if you ask us), which has plans to kick off its latest season on May 20 at 9/7c, following DWTS performance finale. The show will move to its regular timeslot at 8/7c on Monday May 27. Motive, ABC’s latest and new crime procedural, will premiere specially following the DWTS results finale at 10/9c on Tuesday May 21. The show will premiere in its original timeslot at 9/8c on Thursday May 23. Motive reveals the victim and killer at the beginning of each episode and focuses on … well, you guessed it.

Finally, rounding out ABC’s summer plans will be reality fare, which does not feature The Glass House – as we expected. Wipeout will return May 9 at 8/7c, Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition premieres May 28 at 8/7c, What Would You Do? kicks off May 29 at 10/9c and Celebrity Wife Swap returns June 23 at 8/7c. Anthony Zuiker’s new reality show, Whodunit? (which we previewed here), premieres Sunday June 23 at 9/8c.
