Is this ABC’s answer to Stars Earn Stripes? The network has confirmed to EW that they have acquired a new competition series, which will feature men and women of the military showing off their vocal abilities. What will they call this show?
Troupe Stars. Get it? ABC, and other networks for that matter, have had some concepts that were questioned by many. Now that Fox has revived their layoff show, maybe it was time ABC reached deep down in their bag of trips for a new fad to sweep the nation.
As per reports, the series will comprise of eight episodes, as of now and will be produced by 5 Streams Global Entertainment. The US Military has agreed to allow members of the armed forces participate, however, they were quick to note that the US Government has no involvement in the project. No word on when this will air, but we’re betting either midseason replacement or summer. Most likely summer, since Duets is unlikely to return.
