ABC is the latest network to join in the announcements of picking up some of it’s hit shows for more. The latest to join the crowd for a freshman season full pickup are both No Ordinary Family and Better With You. Ordinary Family has been performing consistently in the ratings department despite being set straight up against Fox juggernaut Glee. The Friday repeats of Family have helped people see its potential and ABC is convinced. Better With You has also pleased the execs on the Wednesday night comedy block.
Also receiving some good news is procedural docu-style Detroit 1-8-7. While the network hasn’t picked up a full season yet, ABC has ordered another 5 scripts for the show. Joining the script order is Brothers & Sisters, which was originally slated for a 18 episode season. With the 4 additional scripts, it looks like a full 22 episode season is in the books. As reported minutes ago, The Whole Truth was not so lucky. The network axed the show earlier tonight.
