ABC’s ‘Off the Map’ Finds a Home

After ABC canned The Whole Truth, much speculation went around as to what would occupy the late night slot on Wednesdays. Well, wait no more. Shonda Rhimes’ latest medical drama has received the honors. After the success of Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice, ABC has given Shonda another spot on the schedule to try and dominate. Off the Map is a drama about doctors in South America at a medical clinic. Off the Map was originally slated to jump start is life in the same Sunday night slot that catapulted Grey’s and Private Practice, but with the success of Brothers and Sisters, ABC has decided to change plans.

Off the Map stars Aimee Garcia (Trauma), Valerie Cruz (True Blood and Dexter), among others. Map will air Wednesday nights at 10pm EST/9pm CST starting January 12, 2011.
