Aerosmith gets Chart Bump from American Idol

As you may have heard, Joe Perry, guitarist for Aerosmith was not too thrilled with Steven Tyler taking the judging gig on American Idol, but he can’t dispute that Tyler being the judge hasn’t boosted their sales.

“I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” jumped up to number-19 on iTunes songs chart, and “Dream On” moved to number-61. Their 1994 Big Ones album, rocketed to number-25 on the iTunes’ album chart.

Whether he likes the judging gig or not, I’m sure he is a-ok with the extra money flowing in now. Aerosmith, sans Perry, are now in Los Angeles working on songs for a new album. Does Perry have any regret? He’s a rocker, so I’m guessing that even if he did, there is no way he would admit it.
