Al Sharpton on DWTS?

The Rev. Al Sharpton has apparently turned down multiple offers to compete on ABC’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’, at least that is what he said in a recent interview with TMZ. Sharpton said the reason he had to turn them down, multiple times, is that his commitment to civil rights and education is too important to take a break from, therefore not allowing him to participate on the show.

“You have to have your priorities,” Sharpton said. “There’s a difference in taking one night doing ‘Saturday Night Live’ and taking weeks doing ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ So I thought about it, but I took a pass.”

Sharpton does however admit that he has some skills on the dance floor, “Oh, I’ve got moves now,” he said, “I’d blow them out. There would be no chance for anybody to touch me. But I just don’t have the time.” I guess we may never know.

The Season 12 cast of “Dancing With the Stars” will be announced Feb. 28 during “The Bachelor.” Will you be watching? Would you like to have seen Rev. Al on the show? Sound off below!
