Americans know these words, but rarely either understand or heed the words. Yet again we, as Americans, find ourselves enmeshed in yet another catastrophic incident of our liberty being infringed upon. The National Security Agency (NSA) has yet again had it’s skirt lifted up a titch, and the world now knows what it is up to: infringement upon the privacy of everyone in the name of making us ‘safe.’ Since when has safety been the silver bullet through liberty? Instead, we get upset that our privacy is being violated. But the politicians know that this too shall pass.
What is it going to take for the American public to wake up and smell their liberty eroding faster than a beach? With each wave wailing upon our liberty, when will the erosion finally be enough for a new landscape to form around our precious liberty that our founding fathers established a Democracy for?
