Amy Poehler and Tina Fey To Host 2013 Golden Globes

In what seems to be one of the better hosting announcements of the recent past, NBC announced late Monday evening that leading lady duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have been tapped to host the 2013 Golden Glob Awards. Clearly this puts the viewers at the winners table. NBC has not only been on top of the fall TV season ratings wise, they are making even smarter moves forward!

Tina Fey, leading lady of 30 Rock, and Amy Poehler of Parks & Rec are not strangers by any means. Besides their work together in the feature film Baby Mama, they have been seen together on SNL, each other’s sitcoms and other special events. NBC President of Alternative Programming, Paul Telegdy, notes that having them

“on board to host this year’s festivities is a major coup. Tina and Amy have a proven chemistry and comedic timing from their many years together on SNL to their successful co-starring roles in Baby Mama.”

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association notes that they are thrilled to have these two ladies on board for the night’s festivities, as they praise their “unparalleled comedic timing.” The Golden Globes celebrate their 70th anniversary and will air on January 13, 2013 on NBC!
