We start the show with the whole awkwardness of Leila thinking there is more to her friendship with Laura than there actually is. After Laura won best photo, she decided to choose Kristin to come with her into the Tyra Suite. Even though Leila chose her when she won, Leila also talks about how it was hard growing up, and she is jealous for Laura being well off. Anyway, now there is talk about Leila being obsessed with Laura, and writing her notes and stuff… which is a bit wierd but we don’t know the context (like fans actually care about context).
On a side note, does anyone else think the opening sequences are just getting sluttier and sluttier as seasons go on? Tyra is literally molesting Rob in this years one…
We had back to the house, and Alicia Keys turns up with Tyra, which results in some girls crying and Kiara belting out a tune… seriously? Someone’s trying to steal the show. The girls are told for this weeks challenge that they are to run a catwalk show for Alicia Keys charity. With Laura being in charge as she is the ‘President of the house’. The girls now do a practice runway for Alicia and Tyra, and pretty much all focus is on Laura and Leila… predictable Tyra. Predictable. As the girls are walking in the runway, the girl with the highest bid on their dress wins, which is completely stupid as the price people are gonna pay is like 90% the dress and 10% the model. I’m not gonna say the word fixed, but I am gonna say the word fixed.
As they are all preparing, Leila goes on about how none of us are freinds, and then Laura starts to take charge to which Kelly replies ‘Please don’t embarrass my designer… I will kill you’. I love Kelly, no seriously, she is like the Simon Cowell of ANTM in my opinion.
During the fashion show, Leila gets screamed at by Tyra to move her arms, which did not make her walk better. At. All. The top 3 were Victoria, Laura and Kiara. With Kiara taking the win… ugh. At the bottom were Leila, Yvonne and Allyssa, with 6, 6 and 5 respectively with major focus on Alyssa and Leila at the moment.
Back at the House
Now for the confrontation of the episode between Leila and Laura, basically Laura has been saying Leila is obsessed with her, to which Leila responds that Laura is obsessed with herself (I agree). Then Laura cries, and Leila cries and I laugh because they are basically crying over nothing. Laura got picked on when she was younger… I feel bad for people who got picked on, but the whole story line got old after like the 3rd season. Just saying. Leila also says she has so much potential, which instantly set off alarm bells in my head, as I dont think many people can say that about themselves and survive the week. #cry.
Ok, this week its a cheer-leading photo-shoot, which to be honest looks kinda dangerous… but let me say, I wouldnt mind being thrown into the air if those guys were catching me, if you know what i’m saying.
Anyway, Rob Evans appears out of nowhere. Woo. And Kristin thinks she is at an advantage because she was a cheerleader… well yes that would help.
As the shoot goes on, Allyssa nearly kills a guy… overstatement? Naa. Laura also gets scared about being thrown into the air, so we see her crying AGAIN. Please, at least let some other girls have a crying segment (Except Victoria).
We get some more b*tching with Leila b*tching about Kristin, then Laura and Kristin b*tching about Leila. Just get on with the shoot girls!!
From the shoot it seemed that Kristin and Nastacia rocked it, Brittany and Leila not doing so well. Leila going the duck lips route. Ehhhhh.
Ok, lets get on with my little game, and I think I am gonna continue from last week with SHARE, TWEET OR DELETE. Recap for anyone, who didn’t read last week – Share is a photo which I think is just obviously amazing, and everyone should like it. Tweet is a photo I think is amazing, however it probably has some haters as well. And delete, well you can gather the idea.
SHARE – Nastacia, she really rocked this photo, the position is great, and so is the face. Just an amazing photo all round.
TWEET – Victoria, I actually really love this picture, I think its relaxed and model-esque. Definitely one of my favorites. I don’t like the whole concept of cheerleaders, so the relaxing style appealed to me for sure.
Delete – I had to choose between four photos for this lovely position. And I could only narrow it down to two, so this week, we get to delete two girls. Firstly, Brittany, to be honest, I dont even know what is going on in this photo; it is just not good, and looks really stiff to me.
Secondly, the comeback series gets another bad score from me, with Darian really just failing, it just looks like she is falling, no tension in her body. AT. ALL.
Some differences in opinions this week for sure, firstly Kristin got a 10 and a 9 of Rob and Kelly, however, only a 6 of Tyra (which doesn’t mean average by the way). Nastacia, however, wowed the judges getting an 8, 9, and 10 from Tyra, Kelly and Rob respectively. Leila got the worst score from the judges, which sucks because her photo was NOT the worst, at all.
Subsequently, Nastacia got best photo (well-deserved), and Leila was unfortunately eliminated. The scores are below. There wasn’t much of a difference this week.
Nastacia – 40.9
Laura – 38.7
Kristin – 38.1
Kiara – 37.3
Victoria – 36.5
Yvonne – 36.4
Alyssa – 30.8
Brittany – 29.5
Leila – 29
Now, this week we finally see my table come into effect. 2nd place is out? Leila should not have been eliminated this week. Her photo was not actually that bad, there were definitely worse ones, and the challenge having that much effect sucked!
However, Laura is VERY far ahead at the moement, a whole 11.1 points in front of Nastacia. Yvonne gained a bit of ground, but needs to start to ROCK IT OUT if she wants Luke’s award of ‘actual top model, cause I hate this new judging.’
Not happy for this week, but at the moment, I am wanting either Jessie or Leila coming back from the comeback show, and see how they perform the next couple of weeks. Make sure to check out the comeback series at cwtv.com.
Also, one thing I am considering doing, is that each week I multiply each score on my table by the week it is gained. This show is about improvement after all. What do you guys think of this? Think it will make it more fair? Or would that make it too easy to get to the top with one good week?
