ANTM – Walk Fierce & Ride Camels

The top five arrive in Morocco, and what a beautiful place it is. The girls go with Andre on a go-see where they try on Marrocan clothes, and get walking tips from Andre. Brittani loves her dress, and Alexanderia sees her as major competition, but believes she has that something extra. Kasia has a horrible time, not being able to fit into most of the dresses and items in the store. It takes them a while to find something that fits her and it really brings her confidence down. “They literally went through the whole store, at least, to find a dress for me.” Molly needs to learn how to put her smile on, while Brittani needs to learn how to keep her opinions to herself. Andre said that Brittani had the most high fashion walk but that Kasia was smart for being the only girl to bring her heels. Afterwards they have tea with Andre on a rooftop, that turns out to be their new home. Molly knows she still has a bit of an anger problem but the fact that Alexandria is so fake still really pisses her off. The girls new apartment has a pool, a huge bathroom, and a three person bedroom? Molly is very not okay with sleeping with Brittani and Kasia, and her anger problems are being noticed by the other girls.

Tyra mail, you made it this far but you’re not over the hump yet. Camels? Miss Jay is on a camel, first photoshoot in Morocco on top of camels, its not as easy as it looks. He’s looking to see who can be a top model, working with a grumpy, tempermental animal. Their photographer is Michael Woolley, who wants the horizon in their eyes. Brittani said it was a lot harder than it looked, trying not to fall off the camel. Miss Jay said Brittani got her mo-jo and her confidence back, she was working with the camel and folding her body with it. Molly: ‘You can’t anger the camel.” Miss Jay said Molly nailed the shoot, did a very chanel pose, she brought tension to the shot. Kasia wanted to bring a lot of emotion and body shapes, Miss Jay thought she was stuck and the photographer felt very out of control. Miss Jay brought her down to talk to her, she felt self conscious about how her body was looking, and he tried to tell her if she’s not comfortable with her body, she’s not present in the shoot. Before Michael began to shoot Alexandria, Miss Jay told him to push to get his shot. He thought she was too controlled and that to appear alive she needs to let go of the reins. She started to stand up and try harder. Hannah was told she was excellent, and she got a lot of good feedback moving around on the camel. This is the first time Kasia has been nervous about being in the bottom two, Brittani is going to be bad to see people go but it has it to happen. Alexandria is also very nervous, and is going to be disappointed in herself if she ends up going home.

Guest judge at panel, Franca Sozzani, the editor of Italian vogue. Brittani loved shooting with a camel, Nigel loves the androgynous feel, Andre sees it as a narrative, high fashion, Tyra sees her risk. Franca thought the shot was created by the photographer and the stylist and not by the model expression or body. Alexandria, Nigel loves her upper body, Andre wants them all to relax their mouth, Franca thinks it becomes stiff, Tyra said her film was inconsistent, and that the photographer thought she was talking about to him. Kasia, Nigel liked it but wanted to know what she meant when she said she had trouble finding a good look, and she told him she had to try a lot of different things. Tyra only found one usable shoot, and she thinks Kasia can do better than that. Nigel thought Kasia’s shot was great, but she had so few and that needs to be taken into account. Molly, Andre sees the message of the clothes, amazing photograph, Tyra feels the model in the moment instead of being obvious modeling. Andre sees Molly as the international voice and Franca think her shot can go in vogue. Hannah is last, Nigel loves the difference from the other girls, Andre loves everything except her arm placement, Franca doesn’t think the expression in her face is strong enough. Tyra loved her film, creating lots of strong stand out shots that showcase something different.

Tyra calls Molly as best picture, and Brittani as runner up. Hannah is called third leaving Alexandria and Kasia in the bottom two. Tyra tells Hannah her photo is great, and that she should be proud of herself. Alexandria has talent but its spotty, and her photos are strong but not as strong as the other girls. Kasia’s films is all over the place, sometimes its which wonderful photo does Tyra pick and the next its why is she struggling, why is she sinking. Where has her confidence gone because its not in her photos. Alexandria was picked to stay because her pictures are stronger and more consistent than Kasia’s. Kasia was devastated to go, but still believes that its not over.
