‘Meet The Contestants From ‘The Amazing Race 15′
Reporting
Jenn McBride
STUDIO CITY, Calif. (CBS) ―
My friend/co-worker/favorite two-time Big Brother contestant Diane Henry is one of the smartest people I know; she competed on a CBS show before her employment at the company prohibited her from doing so (and came pretty darn close to winning the coveted $500,000 prize during Season 5, too).
I, on the other hand, am deeply saddened to be ineligible for one of the best reality shows on television: The Amazing Race. With mega-producer Jerry Bruckheimer at the helm and jet-lagged contestants competing for $1 million every season, it’s no wonder the primetime hit – which takes viewers around the world from the comfort of their couches – has won all six Outstanding Reality Competition Program awards that have been given.
I recently sat down with host Phil Keoghan and all 12 teams competing on Season 15, which premieres Sunday, Sept. 27, at 8 p.m. on CBS 2. From Harlem Globetrotters to professional poker players, it’s easy to see why these unique contestants were selected. Meet them all:
Maria, 26, and Tiffany, 25
Hometown: Arcadia, Calif./Los Angeles, Calif.
Occupation: Professional Poker Players (Tiffany was the last woman standing at the World Series of Poker Main Event in 2008, an honor Maria held in 2007)
Relationship: Best Friends
Most likely to: play the other contestants
Daniel, 21, and Samuel, 23
Hometown: Liberty, Mo./Fort Worth, Texas

Most likely to: get boyfriends. These handsome brothers are closer than ever, as they both recently came out.
Herbert, 32, and Nathaniel, 28
Hometown: Bossier City, La./New Orleans, La.

Most likely to: win over viewers as they play in honor of their best friend and teammate who recently died
Zev, 26, and Justin, 29
Hometown: Sherman Oaks, Calif./Los Angeles, Calif.
Occupation: Unemployed/VP of Development for National Lampoons

Gary, 47, and Matt, 22
Hometown: Laurel, Mont./Bozeman, Mont.
Occupation: Mortgage Broker/Student

Most likely to: stay calm during the highly competitive challenges
Garrett, 28, and Jessica, 27
