Big Brother 14 Adds Interactive Elements

Most likely prompted by the highly interactive competitive summer reality show, The Glass House, CBS has upped the ante on their summer staple, Big Brother. With the show’s 14th season set to premiere Thursday at 9/8c on CBS, Big Brother has announced new ways the show’s fans can become involved with the show, production and more!

Big Brother 14 Houseguests Have Moved In!

As initially reported by Mashable, Big Brother Connect will bring together social streams, twitter hashtags, polls and more on the Thursday night LIVE broadcasts.

“Big Brother has an insatiable fan base on-air, online and across coil platforms,” said Mac DeBevoise, Sr. Vice President and GM of Entertainment at CBS Interactive. “This season, we wanted to give Big Brother fans a true second-screen, social experience, offering even more ways for them to find and interact with not only each other, but the show and their favorite Houseguests.”

@CBSBigBrother, the show’s official twitter account, will be tweeting behind the scenes content on what’s happening in the house, challenges and show production. Also be sure to follow #bbinsider for these details.

Each Friday, following the show’s eviction, CBS will roll out a special interactive live chat with houseguests and “series experts.”

Ever wanted to see pictures shot by the HOH before CBS.com releases them? Well, now you have a shot. Flock to Unlock is a new feature CBS is initiating to get those pics unveiled early. Fans can tweet #BigBrotherHOH to unlock special pictures once a certain number of tweets has been met. The number will be determined by CBS. Fans can also follow special insider info from production by following @BigBrotherScoop on Twitter, as well as receive daily tweets from the HOH via @BigBrotherHOH.
