Get ready for even more “Big Brother,” CBS promises! After announcing that the house will feature 76 HD camers and over 100 microphones, the network announced on Thursday that the summer reality staple will premiere over a special two-night premiere. Television promos promise a “twist so big” that it can’t all fit in one night.
The latest season premieres June 25 at 8/7c with night two on June 26 at 9/8c on CBS. TVGuide Network will have “After Dark” for yet another season with the premiere happening at Midnight on June 26. BBAD will air commercial free on premiere night and also air in HD. “Big Brother” and CBS are promising more fan interaction (once again) this season with frequent ability to vote on things to impact the house.
Finally, a new premiere event featuring alum Jeff Schroeder will take place June 25. Jeff will be host a premiere pre-show, “Big Brother Live Kickoff” at 7/6c on June 25 on CBS.com. After night-two of the premiere, Jeff will also live-tweet alongside fans watching the live feeds for 16 straight hours.
“We saw tremendous growth in engagement around the interactive and multiplatform elements we launched last year – including triple digit growth in engagement around the fan-driven Impact Votes,” said Rob Gelick, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Digital Platforms for CBS Interactive Entertainment. “Our goal this season is to give fans even more access and ways to affect the BIG BROTHER house. We can’t wait for fans to see what we have in store this season.”
