Breaking: Survivor’s Jeff Probst To Host New Talk Show

Jeff Probst, host of CBS’s groundbreaking reality show Survivor, has signed on to host a one-hour daytime talk show on the network. The show will kick off in Fall 2012. In a statement, Probst said, “As I continue with Survivor, I am excited to extend my relationship with CBS with this new adventure in the world of daytime.” He also went on to say that he is “fascinated with human nature and thrilled that this show will allow me the opportunity to connect with real people and explore their stories on a personal level.”

Probst is no stranger to the daytime hosting seat. Probst has previously filled in for Regis Philbin on Live With Regis and Kelly, as well as Larry King on Larry King Live. The only bit we can gather on this new talk show is that it will center around everything from news makers to ordinary families in extraordinary situations. Survivor is now filming its 23rd and 24th seasons in Samoa, so there is no word of the reality behemouth ending anytime soon. Will this talk show be Jeff’s transition back to the mainland for good or could he start pulling double duty on the hosting front?
