Yakksters, 2009 is coming to a close. As we end this decade and enter the next, we wanted to take a minute to look back at the year and all it’s ups, downs, and in-betweens.  Our ‘09 Polls are now up and we want to make sure we get everyone’s input on the good, bad, and the ugly of 2009. What was the best song of ‘09? What about the worst? Yakksters, the Yak will be turning One year old on Saturday, October 10th! In the past year, we’ve had more than 100,000 posts, nearly 250 members, and countless memorable moments. A very good friend of mine has a young daughter with Leukemia. On Sunday, August 9th, from 8am – 1pm, there will be a bone marrow drive in her honor at American Martyrs in Manhattan Beach California.

The end of Reality TV, at least for the moment, is on the horizon. We have already lost Amazing Race, American Idol is about down to two with it’s finale next week, and tomorrow night, we see the close of America’s Next Top Model. I’m still hoping for the Teyona win!! It all is very very sad. No Reality TV, Prime Time going into hiatus… re-runs galore. The saving grace of it all? Continue reading “The End.” »
