Is Big Brother 12 Going To Be The Last?

Scouting around the ‘net, in anticipation for yet another season of our glorious summer staple, Big Brother, I found this little tidbit for y’all to peruse. Keep in mind, nothing is confirmed with CBS/BB either, this is all speculation and as the source site states as well, the UK version of Big Brother will be concluding after this next season, so there may have been confusion with that. And as always, you can join us in our forum to discuss!

So, in a recent interview with BuddyTV, James Rhine has stated that there was a rumor circulating amongst BB veterans that the 12th season would be the last. The network hasn’t made any statement regarding this, and one would think it would obviously depend on the ratings for this upcoming season as to whether or not it would be renewed. Considering the aridness of television during the summer, I would think that something that’s been going on for as long as Big Brother has would be renewed. What would CBS fill in all those timeslots with?

Big Brother 11’s Jeff and Jordan Confirmed To Be A Team Competing On The Amazing Race 16!

Okay, so Jeff from Big Brother 11 is known to be a semi-regular Tweeter, so suspicions arose amongst his followers earlier this week when he hadn’t sent a tweet since 11/22. Then sightings of him and Jordan, wearing identical blue in NC, being filmed by a crew in an unmarked van started swirling about, plus a suspicious visit to the CBS lot the last time they were in L.A. with no reason given for it (i.e. some BB thing, etc, which obviously would’ve been announced).

Then just today Season 16 of the Amazing Race kicked off with filming in L.A. and you guessed it, internet spoilers started a’flowin, including team sightings at LAX and one of those teams was Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd from Big Brother 11! Fans have clamored for them to be on TAR and their popularity with viewers this summer is undisputable. Check in with our TAR 16 forum here for all the latest news, gossip and spoilers!

But first, ;), how about a picture of them at LAX? (Check our forum for more!)

Are Big Brother Fans Unrealistic In Their Expectations of The Houseguests After The Show?

So, Big Brother 11 has been over for about a month or so and the houseguests have been home, doing their own thing. They’ve been out and about, doing interviews, getting on Facebook/Twitter/Myspace and even making their own blogs. And the fans have been gobbling it up, every bit they can get.

I (Ahrean) can admit, I eat that up as well. I love it. I grab every nugget I can get and read it because I genuinely love hearing all I can. You almost feel like you are a part of their lives because they were a part of yours all summer long. However, as a fan, you have be realistic as well. And this sucks to say, but the houseguests most likely DON’T know you as individuals. They do care, in the sense that without the fans there wouldn’t have been  a show and without the show they wouldn’t have gotten the exposure they have now. BUT that doesn’t mean you get to place unrealistic expectations on them either.

Case in point. Jeff and Jordan.
