By now everyone knows that Natalie won Survivor Samoa. For being nice. For being humble. For doing nothing, in this writer’s opinion. Seriously, what did she do in the game? She aligned with Russell and talked to a few people to get Erik voted out (at Russell’s bidding I might add). Natalie is, in my opinion, the most undeserving winner in Survivor history. Now don’t get me wrong, she’s nice. She’s a sweetheart. She’s beautiful, although she needs to throw away the Bumpit she wore at the finale. But did she play a better game than Russell? Hell no!
Russell is the best player in Survivor history and I can say this with confidence. He didn’t win, but that means nothing. He played the best game out of everyone and he played it from day one. From his dispicable Katrina story and water dumping, to his early alliances. From his phenomenal initiative to find the hidden immunity Idol without even getting a clue. And then to find it TWO MORE TIMES. He snowed each and every person on that show and even though he wasn’t proclaimed as such, he is, in my opinion, the Sole Survivor.

When the 19th installment of Survivor, Survivor: Samoa premiered, Russell Hantz, of Foa Foa, was poised to be the biggest and most hated villian in Survivor history. He was poised to surpass Johnny Fairplay, Richard Hatch, “Coach”, Tyson and others as being the most hated contestant in the entire series. (Join us in our forum to discuss!)

I haven’t been this happy with an episode of Survivor since that bitch Corrine got the boot. Tyson Apostol, the 30 year old professional cyclist from Lindon, Utah was eliminated in the April 23, 2009 episode of Survivor: Tocantins after a shocking 5-3 blindside vote at tribal council. Admittedly cocky to the end, Apostol proclaimed at tribal council that he felt comfortable in that he wouldn’t be eliminated. Booyah jackass! He’s gonzo, off to Ponderosa. He proclaimed himself as the greatest Survivor contestant ever but I have news for him; while he did have physical prowess, he got outwitted and outlasted and has nothing more than the elation of the majority of Survivor viewers when he got the boot to take away from the experience. Hell, he should go pair up with Spencer Pratt at this point, they’re both on the same level of jackassedness.
He was ousted because he was a threat to win challenges but that’s not the reason that he made me vomit in my mouth. He’s an ass. He insulted people, belittle them, revel in their misery and deluded himself into thinking this is justified. This IS a game for a million bucks BUT he seriously didn’t have to be so mean, both to peoples faces and behind their backs.
I never understood the mentality of wanting to be the “reality baddie”, the one people love to hate. Where does that get one in life? The only thing it REALLY shows is that deep down this person is so unsatisfied with their own life that they have to mask their own misery by putting others down. It’s pathetic, truly bottom feeding behavior. And at the end of the day it will leave that person alone in life with nothing to show for themselves other than a lot of disdain from the public. Does it really make that person feel superior? If so, that’s sad. When one can’t rise to the top based on their own merits of good deeds and accomplishments it shows nothing more than pure laziness.
