Earlier Thursday, CBS was the last of the major networks to announce their midseason plans. (Click here to see NBC’s plans). Among those announcements were premiere dates for two of CBS’s strongest reality shows, the return of the SEVENTH season of Rules of Engagement (how has it gone this long?) and a new drama series.

Just as Survivor and Amazing Race come to an end this month (December 16 & 9, respectively), CBS announced the date both will return next year. Survivor will get a premiere on February 13 at 8/7c, while the Race kicks off with a start on February 17, 2013 at 8/7c.
In addition, CSI: NY ends its current season on February 22. This end will make room for new procedural, Golden Boy. The show focuses on an ambitious cop’s rise to becoming the youngest police commissioner in NYC. Golden Boy will get a special two-week preview on Tuesdays at 10pm ET on February 26 and March 5, before premiering in it’s 9pm ET Friday slot on March 8. During those weeks, Vegas will be off but will return on March 12.

Finally, somehow Rules of Engagement keeps on living its many lives and will replace the ill-fated Partners starting February 4 at 8:30pm ET. Not much else to report on the Eye front.
Thoughts on these schedule adjustments?
