Based off of the UK hit The Great British Bake Off, CBS is getting it’s feet with with an all-new foodie reality competition that they hope to air next summer. The show, tentatively titled Bake Off, focuses on amateur chefs cooking their way to the grand prize with tasty and savory desserts. Sounds like Top Chef: Just Desserts, no?
It appears CBS wasn’t the only network interested in airing this new series, as reports claim multiple US nets were interested after the huge success the show had in the UK last year. No word on an airdate or the grand prize, but CBS is looking probably start production early next year with a summer target air date.
