The Joplinesque runner up of American Idol is engaged to fellow musician Brian Walker, news sources confirmed Friday. The folk-pop singer from Toledo, Ohio is planning to tie the knot next month.
Bowersox garnered second place but was always a front-runner in the judges’ eyes pretty much all season, in the end losing out to Lee DeWyze for the top spot.
On finale night just before one of her final performances, she revealed that she and her boyfriend at the time had split up; it appears when one door closes… another one opens.
