Unfortunately, there has been yet another Deadliest Catch premature death. Justin Tennison, an engineer on the Time Bandit during the offseason, was found dead in a hotel room yesterday.
According to the police report, officers arrived to the Best Western Bidarka Inn in Homer, Alaska after receiving a call at 12:52 p.m. Tennison, 33, was lying in bed unresponsive.
A small amount of marijuana and several bottles of alcohol were discovered in the room, but it is not yet known if that contributed to his death. Police believe Tennison hosted a party there the night before.
His body was transported to the state medical examiner, where an autopsy will be performed Wednesday.
Time Bandit captain Andy Hillstrand wrote on Facebook that Tennison had worked as an engineer on the boat during offseason, and had just joined the crew as a deckhand in recent months for crab season.
Another season of watching Deadliest Catch, knowing one of the stars has passed away. What a shame, and so young. Join us in the forum HERE for our Deadliest Catch discussion, and leave us a comment below.
