The new competitors for the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars is due to be announced on February 28th, but we are getting rumors of just who may be trading in their day jobs for the Dancing Reality Show.
The first rumor is Wendy Williams. The talk show host is currently rumored to be in the running, reportedly putting her talk show “The Wendy Williams Show” on hiatus next month. Sources told BET yesterday that Williams is indeed part of the show, and from what we gathered on her dancing skills, she could be one heck of a competitor. Wendy, in addition to DWTS, will also be hosting a new Game Show Network show entitled ‘Love Triangle’ which will be taping on the weekends as to not interfere with the dancing competition.
Another rumor? Former Madonna boyfriend and father to Lourdes, Carlos Leon. Now, we have no confirmation whatsoever that it will be this upcoming season, but he has said he has been offered to be on the show in the past, and he is now ready to do it.
According to Leon, “I’ve gotten quite a few offers to do reality shows. I got offered to do Dancing With the Stars a couple years back. I didn’t do it, but if they come up with the offer again, I would totally do it.”
As of right now, Carlos is working hard to promote his new indie comedy ‘Immigration Tango’ in which he costars as one half of an immigrant couple trying to stay in the U.S. The film opens in select cities on Friday.
The upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars is set to premier on March 21 on ABC.
Other rumors include Mark Paul Gosselaar, Baby Spice and Seal. Those are very unconfirmed rumors however, so take them with a grain of salt for now!
