While NBC has been the only network to make a move with it’s new fall fare this season, Fox is the first network to make some adjustments to their fall schedule. Touch, the drama starring Kiefer Sutherland, was slated to kick off it’s second season on October 26, following a short run of Kitchen Nightmares.

Obsessive Astute schedule followers like me might have suspected something was amiss a few days ago when Fox kicked Kitchen Nightmares off it’s schedule and stuck The X Factor encores in its place. Well, now we know where those Kitchen Nightmares episodes will be headed … in Touch’s timeslot.
Touch, however, already has a projected date for it’s second season and that is now midseason – likely sometime in early 2013. Touch has made a few changes for season 2, mainly a move from NYC to Los Angeles and adds the likes of Maria Bellow and Lukas Haas to the cast, while Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Clea Hopkins) will not be returning for the show’s sophomore run.
So to clarify, The X Factor encores will continue to fill the 8pm slot for Fox on Fridays until Oct 26, when Kitchen Nightmares will take over and lead into Fringe. Touch will be back in early 2013 with all-new episodes.
