Fox Sets Mob Doctor’s End Date, Pushes Back Touch Premiere AGAIN

Touch, the Fox drama starring Kiefer Sutherland, was set to premiere in October 2012. Fox pushed it back to Feb 1, 2013 after making some scheduling adjustments. Today, the network has announced that they will push it back one more week to Feb 8, 2013 with a special two-hour premiere. Why? We’re not sure. It may be to better launch the sophomore season or to make way for special programming.

In other news, The Mob Doctor - which Fox refuses to officially recognized as cancelled – will formally end on Jan 7, with no additional episodes ordered or comments on the unlikely second season. The final episodes of the show will air Saturday Dec. 29, Monday December 31, Saturday Jan 5 and Monday Jan 7 at 9/8c each night. The drama started off very soft, premiering on a heavy Monday night and has been even softer since. This past week, the show noted a slight uptick in ratings – still not strong enough for Fox to consider renewal. With very little on the back burner, Fox stayed strong and will air the 13-episode order to completion.
