Drama on the show, yes. Drama before and after? Yes!
As we reported earlier, Ricky Garvais may have been fired mid-program from the Golden Globes, or maybe they just told him to tone it down, and won’t be asked back. However, there was other drama going on throughout the night!
Before the show, at a pre-show party, apparently there were some cat claws out. Christina Aguilera and Julianne Hough had a little tiff. The confrontation took place at a party Friday night, hosted by CAA at the Soho House in West Hollywood and was attended by some major celebs, like Julia Robers, Colin Firth, Asthon and Demi, and Ryan Seacrest. According to reports, Aguilera wasn’t too happy to see her Burlesque co-star, and was right up in her face screaming at her. Onlookers said Christina even grabbed Hough, leading to a very loud and abrupt “Don’t touch me!” by Hough.
It was also reported that before the two separated, Christina threatened to tank Hough’s country singing career. Julianne was said to be “visibly upset” by the incident, and most attending were said to have felt bad for her. Christina’s reps however describe the whole thing as “nonsense” and Julianne’s reps could not be reached for comment. No one knows exactly what started it, but according to sources, Christina and Julianne did not get along well on set either.
It wasn’t just the pre-parties that had drama. Al Pacino, who had to leave the Globes early to tuck in his kids, returned in time for the after party and was denied entrance according to The Hollywood Reporter. Yep, Al Pacino DENIED. THR reported that Pacino’s limo was stopped by security and denied access, leaving him stranded outside the party. He was eventually allowed in, but wow… I wonder who was fired this morning for that mistake!
