Before I start just let me say that is taking all my patience to keep watching Survivor right now. I am really tired of repeat players. That goes with any of the reality shows that I watch with the exception of Real World/Road Rules challenges. Ok, enough said over that.
Last night it was once again the Boston Rob cult…er, show. We got to see Mike, Julie and Matt duel it out. If you have three, it can’t be a duel. Must be a truel. Anyhow, they had to do the table shuffleboard contest. They each had to get three pucks across the end line to stay in the game of Survivor. Matt had been feeling the effects of doing what God wants him to do and missing his family and being backstabbed yet again by his own tribe. He missed his first shot. Mike made his first shot with ease as did Julie. Then Matt shot again. He made his second and so did Mike. Julie missed. Matt made his next two shots and once again, he was still relegated to Redemption Island. God must have a plan. If God’s plan is to get rid of Boston Rob, I’m all for it. It came down to Mike and Julie, but Julie couldn’t hang.
The saddest thing I heard last night was Julie saying her house was in foreclosure. But she also said her children would be proud of her. I definitely am. I liked her.
Back at the camp, before we ever got to the truel, Phillip had a vision. And this is really spooky. Phillip is a lunatic, we all know that. He’s been staring at the moon too long. I swear this is true. But he had this vision where his Native American grandfather (or great-grandfather, I sometimes get lost in his ramblings) showed him where Julie hid his bathing suit. He knows it’s near water. Well, duh, Phillip. You’re near water anywhere. He went down the path where Julie had gone before and found a big rock. He dug under that rock, but no suit. He went two steps up and dug under the next rock and voila! There’s his suit. Now you would have had to see this to believe how this happened. I can’t describe it at all, but it was really spooky.
Steve and Ralph from the former Zepeterra tribe are on the outs with the former Ometeppe tribe and know they are the next to go. However Rob is also looking at sending Andrea out as well. (I guess no one watched when Rob stabbed Lex in the back thus ensuring that Amber would win.)
The immunity/reward challenge was the log rolling one. First up was Grant against Rob. Rob goes off. Then Ashley against Andrea. Andrea goes off. Phillip against whoever the other girl is besides Ashley and Andrea (sorry I don’t remember her name but she’s just too far up Rob’s keister for me to remember her). She goes off. Then Steve against Ralph. Ralph wins. Grant against Ashley and Grant wins. Ralph against Phillip and Ralph wins. Ralph against Grant. Now this was fun to watch because it was competitive. I thought (and hoped) for a whole second that Grant would fall in (although I really like Grant and he’s total eye candy). But no, Grant won immunity. He also won the reward of a huge cake and milk to eat and drink. He got to invite two people to help him eat it. Of course he invited Rob. But he also chose Andrea as well. They had two minutes to eat as much as they could.
Jeff Probst tossed a wrapped package to Steve and told them it was for tribal council and not to open it.
Back at the camp, they all speculated on what was in the package. They were pretty sure it would be to vote off a second person. Rob and Grant had it set to vote off Ralph but they were toying with voting off Andrea if there were a second person to be voted off.
Steve tried to make a last ditch effort to save himself and Ralph. He talked to Andrea and that other girl about voting off Rob. (As if that would work. They’re members of the Rob cult. They think he’s “da bomb”. They think he’s smart and making good moves. Why would they vote him off?) They immediately rushed to tell Rob. Guess they’re just playing Rob’s game and not their own. Stupid twits. It would have been a great move to make.
At tribal council, Steven even reminded them about how Rob treated Lex in All Stars Survivor. It still doesn’t work. I don’t think those girls have any idea that the final three, in Rob’s mind, are Grant, Phillip and him. Or is it Phillip, him and one of the two girls? Who knows? Who cares?
First they vote off Ralph. Expected. Then the mystery package is opened. It’s another immunity challenge with someone else getting voted off to Redemption Island. Jeff shows a card with a picture on it. He shows whole bunches of them and the people have to hold up matching symbols, in order, or they are out. Boston Rob wins immunity. Steve is voted out.
Well down to six Ometeppe members now. What happens now? Will it get more exciting to see them turn on each other? Or will they finally get a clue that Rob is in this for himself (as he should be) and playing them all? Will anyone have the guts to send Rob to Redemption Island? I don’t know. Frankly, I don’t even know if I care anymore either.
