Cast of Hawaii Five-0

CBS and Hawaii Five-O producers will be taking advantage of the digital age when the show returns with all new episodes on Monday January 14. You can now join McGarret, Danno and the Five-O crew in sharing your input and solving the crime! For the first time in TV history, viewers will take to the web to solve the crime and CBS will adjust the ending of the episode and air the ending most aligned with viewer suspicions.

The episode will center around the murder of a professor. The crime will bring forward three different suspects – the professor’s boss, his teaching assistant and a student busted for cheating. Once motives have been laid out, viewers can take to CBS.com and vote for who they think committed the crime. Voting will take place for Eastern/Central viewers, as well as for west coast viewers. Voting will also take place via Twitter. The most popular suspect will determine the ending CBS will air that same night.

Executive Producer Peter Lenkov said in a statement

“I’ve always felt the most fun aspect of watching a mystery is trying to figure out whodunit. Now the Hawaii Five-0 viewers will actually get the chance to tell us who they think committed the crime and we will listen. I love that our dedicated and attentive fans will actually play a part in resolving our story.”

All three endings will be on CBS.com the following morning so viewers can see how each might have been handled. Remember, the special episode airs January 14, 2013 at 10/9c on CBS!
