Hell Has A New Tenant

Susan Atkins, a former Charles Manson follower and admitted murdress involved in the Tate/LaBianca murders, died at 11:42 pm Pactific time on Thursday, September 24th, due to complications of a brain tumor and natural causes.

Atkins admitted in the past to holding down 26 year old actress Sharon Tate on the night of August 9th, 1969 and stabbing her 16 times. Even as Tate was begging Atkins for the life of her child, she was told by Atkins, “Look bitch, I have no mercy for you.”

Atkins had been the longest imprisoned female in the state of California up to her death, having been initially sentenced to death but having that reduced to life when the state of California abolished the death penalty in 1972. Between 1976 and September 2nd of this year, Atkins had been denied parole 13 times.

Without wanting to seem uncompassionate towards another human being in pain, it is only fitting that she was denied a compassionate parole, considering her lack of compassion at the time of the Tate/Labianca murders. It is commendable that she found God and turned her life around, including shunning Manson, however you cannot take back the things she did and it was only fitting that she never breathed free air after her arrest in 1969. And now hell has a new tenant, hope she enjoys the view.
