How I Met Your Mother – Outrage and Katy Perry

No, the outrage has nothing to do with Katy this time! Katy Perry is scheduled to guest star on HIMYM, playing a potential love interest for one of the main characters. Perry will reportedly play the cousin of Zoey, Ted’s current adversary. To whom she will be a love interest has not been revealed.

According to Carter Bays, the co-creator of the series, there are many twists and plot developments for Ted and Zoey coming up, making their relationship and potential romance much more complicated. Should be interesting to say the least!

…On to the outrage. Apparently, many fans of the show were upset with last Monday’s episode, and the drama brought to the series (the death of Marshall’s father). Bays was surprised by the amount of shock and fan reaction. He told The Hollywood Reporter, “We’ve dealt with the happy moments. And a couple of the sad ones. This is one of the sad ones.”

Regardless how everyone felt about it, fans will have to wait until January 17th to see how the death will impact the show. Bays says it will be profound, not just on the follow-up episode where Marshall “will grapple with his final moments with Dad.” he told THR. It will affect the show in general.

“It’s an important moment,” says Bays. “This will change a lot of things for everyone in the show.”
