“Be careful what you wish for” is the message actor Jorge Garcia posted on his blog “When Will People Learn?” after a fluke in the Mega Millions lottery made more than 9,000 people $150 richer the other day. The winning numbers drawn were 4,8,15, 25, 47 and 42. For those of you that watched LOST, you know that the “cursed” winning lottery numbers for Garcia’s character, Hurley, were 4,8,15,16,23 and 42. Since those numbers were first revealed on the show, fans of LOST have played them in various lotteries but none have ever come this close to being actual winning numbers until this past Tuesday.
Garcia also wrote, “the numbers are bad!” on his blog and the post continues with “Enjoy your” along with a picture of a $100 bill and a $50 bill with the word “cursed” stamped over them. Hmmmm, guess it’s a good thing I forgot to buy my usual “when the jackpot gets insanely high I’ll get a ticket” with my usual LOST numbers. That $150 would’ve been nice though!
