Jennifer Lopez, American Idol: “Done deal…”

No official word from Fox or Idol representatives, but per a CBSnews article, Jennifer Lopez might have just inked a deal reported worth $12 million to be the next to join the judge’s panel on American Idol. Following the departures of Simon Cowell, Kara DioGuardi and Ellen Degeneres, Fox has been working to fill the judge’s table and Lopez has been a much-talked about rumor for quite some time, along with Steven Tyler, Aerosmith’s front man. Negotiations were reportedly stuck in the mud for some time because Lopez was also looking to secure and keep stable her movie career. A source at Fox denied these allegations and said the Lopez deal is now done. No word yet on whether Tyler is also on board, but it is looking to become a reality sooner than later.
