Free agent NFL player Eric Johnson is engaged to marry singer Jessica Simpson. The couple met in May after being introduced to each other by friends and recently spent time together celebrating his 30th birthday in Italy. Simpson has recently explained that the couple has plans to spend Thanksgiving together. “We’re all gonna be in New York. I’m gonna be on a [Macy's parade] float. It’s not always the best way to spend a Thanksgiving, but it’s a great way to celebrate. So, maybe I’ll just have all families on the float.” On their love for one another, Simpson goes on to say that “He’s the one for me right now! I’m very happy, I’m in a great place and if right now could last forever, I’d take it.”
Johnson has played for both the San Francisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints. Back in 2005, Simpson split with former husband Nick Lachey after 3 years of marriage.
