The ax has fallen on the first show of the new fall season. Not much of a surprise, unfortunately, but Lone Star is this fall’s first casualty and the first new series of the season that barely lived. After only 2 episodes, Fox dropped Lone Star out of its lineup and will replace it with Lie to Me. Lone Star garnered less than 5 million viewers on premiere night last week, and even less (around 3.2 million) during it’s second showing. Production on Lone Star will cease immediately. As for the remaining episodes already in the can (5 after the pilot), it’s unknown what will happen to them. Although, according to Fox’s website, Lone Star airs October 2 at 11pm EST/10pm CST. A possible real late night episode burn-off?
Lie to Me was originally slated to premiere its 3rd season on November 10, but is already being advertised as returning on Monday Oct. 4 following House, even when watching Lone Star‘s 2nd (and last) episode on Fox.com. The irony in that. Well, what do you think about this move? Are you surprised? Looking forward to Lie to Me sooner? Let us know here in our FORUMS!
