The January 29th edition of Saturday Night Live (SNL) wasn’t exactly a Facebook sponsored production, but it did feature a cameo from the CEO of the social networking organization. The host of the show was Jesse Eisenberg, who played Zuckerberg in Oscar nominated “The Social Network”. When it was announced that Eisenberg was hosting some predicted that Zuckerberg would want the spotlight too and while it wasn’t exactly in that tone, it was still funny nonetheless.
As Eisenberg stood doing his monologue, Andy Samberg came onstage wearing a hoodie, impersonating Zuckerberg while Lorne Michaels, SNL big boss, stood offstage with Zuckerberg at his side. As Samberg and Eisenberg bantered, the real Zuckerberg slid onstage. Eisenberg wasn’t exactly intimidated, as he worded his description of his role carefully, saying in the past that he was playing a fictional character in a movie script.
