…And I think some of it is true BS! CBS completes our upfront week by unveiling its new Fall schedule. Boasted as America’s “Most Watched Network,” CBS has added some new laughs, drama, while taking away HIT Top 20 shows! Check below to see what’s stayed, gone, changed, and added!
Monday:
8PM – 8:30PM: How I Met Your Mother ~ CBS is a’changin’ their Monday night comedy lineup. The hit shows are still there, just at different times. We also get a newcomer. This hit show is back for another season … Will we meet the mother?
8:30PM – 9PM: Accidentally On Purpose ~ Looks like they’re taking a page out of the Knocked Up book. This show looks at a film critic, Jenna Elfman, who got knocked up after a one-night stand with a “slacker.”
9PM – 9:30PM: Two & A Half Men ~ Still claimed to be TV’s #1 comedy, 2.5 men returns to Monday, now leading into “the geeks.”
9:30PM – 10PM: The Big Bang Theory ~ Officially renewed for 2 more seasons, Theory returns this fall after a strong 2nd season!
10PM – 11PM: CSI:Miami ~ Probably the most popular of the CSI’s makes a return this fall!
Tuesday:
8PM – 9PM: NCIS ~ This hit procedural makes it back for yet another season after its latest breakout season!
9PM – 10PM: NCIS: Los Angeles ~ In case one isn’t enough for you, you’ll be moving to LA for the 2nd hour on Tuesdays. LL Cool J stars in this spinoff. It looks like NCIS is becoming the next CSI. Where will they move to next?
10PM – 11PM: The Good Wife ~ Not sure how this show fits with a pair of NCIS‘s, but it chronicles a woman who returns to work as a lawyer shortly after her husband is incarcerated.
Wednesdays:
8PM – 8:30PM: The New Adventures of Old Christine ~ Starting an unchanged Wednesday, this hit comedy show is back for yet another season.
8:30PM – 9PM: Gary Unmarried ~ The network decided not to divorce with this show. I guess trying a second season is the order.
9PM – 10PM: Criminal Minds ~ Quite possibly one of CBS’s biggest shows! Don’t miss the new season.
10PM – 11PM: CSI: NY ~ Same day, same time, same idea.
Thursday:
8PM – 9PM: Survivor: Samoa ~ No doubt this reality show wasn’t coming back! Check out the new season in its new location this fall!
9PM – 10PM: CSI ~ Same day, same time, same idea, a changed cast.
10PM – 11PM: The Mentalist ~ The biggest freshman hit makes a move to Thursdays to make room for the NCIS spinoff. CSI should be a solid lead-in.
Friday:
8PM – 9PM: Ghost Whisperer ~ A bubble show brought back. Now will be paired with its other “ghostly” counterpart.
9PM – 10PM: Medium ~ Picked up after NBC dumped it, Medium makes a return this fall with a full season order!
10PM – 11PM: Numb3rs ~ The night of bubble shows brought back Numb3rs for another season on a Friday.
Saturday:
8PM – 10PM: Crimetime Saturday ~ Encores of your favorite (maybe) CBS procedurals
10PM – 11PM: 48 Hours Mystery
Sunday:
7PM – 8PM: 60 Minutes
8PM – 9PM: The Amazing Race ~ The multiple Emmy award winning reality show makes another return with what will surely be a great season!
9PM – 10PM: Three Rivers ~ A new take on medical drama, Three Rivers, looks into the world of organ transplantation. Alex O’Laughlin (Moonlight) makes a return to CBS.
10PM – 11PM: Cold Case ~ A show I, personally, will be boycotting. I’m slightly (understatement) bitter about CBS cancelling Without a Trace and bringing this show back. But, for those of you fans out there, Cold Case will be back on Sunday nights this fall.
Well, there ya have it. CBS’s fall schedule. I’m seriously contemplating boycotting the network for making a horrible decision on Trace, but hey, what do I know. I’m just one of the viewers that made it a Top 20 show – WEEKLY! Guess that means not much. In that case, why did Yak Nicholson allow me to follow these upfronts? Maybe I just hijacked it. Hope you all enjoyed reading these as much I did writing. For now … Wingz out!
