Michelle Obama to Appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show

Michelle Obama travelled to Chicago this Friday, January 21st, to appear on one of the last original taped episodes of the Oprah Winfrey show. Her intentions with this appearance will be to discuss a nationwide program she hopes to implement to support families with someone in the military.

As of late, the First Lady has become an advocate of military families, travelling to various military installations in order to meet with military members and discuss their concerns. She’s also urged Americans to volunteer time in support of these families. This program is scheduled to air Thursday, January 28th.

Another interesting note to point out is that Tom Brokaw and Bob Woodward (of Woodward and Bernstein who I saw speak at my college) will appear on the same show. Will you be watching? Tell us about it in our forums here !
