NBC Announced Ultimate Culinary Competition “Food Fighters”

In an effort to rebound from a tough 2013, NBC has put together what they hope is the recipe for success, “Food Fighters.” In this latest culinary competition, amateur chefs will have their plates pit up against professional and expert chefs. President of Alternative Programming at the Peacock noted

“‘Food Fighters’ combines compelling competition and game show fun with a delicious twist – giving every day home cooks a once-in-a-lifetime chance to compete with world class chefs. Every true home cook has at least one ‘signature dish,’ — the peach cobbler, the lasagna, that appetizer that friends beg you to bring to parties. This is a show that puts those recipes to the ultimate test and rewards the passion Americans bring to their home kitchens every day. We’re excited to have the dynamic Adam Richman, one of the world’s greatest food enthusiasts, on board as host – and can’t wait for viewers to root on these contenders in the ultimate culinary showdown!”

Home cooks will face off against professional chefs from all corners of the world. Armed with their recipes and three lifelines, each cook will have to cook the same dish as the professional. “The Dinner Party,” a group of culinary experts will then blindly taste the dishes. If the home cook wins, they’ll earn a cash prize and face the next professional as they climb the cash prize ladder. The more professional cooks they knock out, the more cash the home cooks win. The battles are over if the professional chef walks away with the win. NBC boasts this is the ultimate food fight that America can’t wait to see. Television personality, author and food enthusiast Adam Richman is at the helm of this culinary competition.
