It’s that time of year again, folks! May is a busy month for TV, as your favorite shows come to an end, summer fare begins to creep up on us, and the networks unveil their major plans for the upcoming season. In the last week especially, we’ve been breaking news left and right regarding which shows will be coming back next season or which shows will be seeing the TV abyss. The question remains where each show will fit in the puzzle that is forming the best primetime schedule. Now, we have our answer.
Kicking off Upfronts week, where networks present their new fall schedule to advertisers, is NBC. Below, you’ll find the schedule NBC hopes will bring them back as a premiere network in the ever changing TV landscape. Renewing a few fan-favorite sitcoms, bringing back a questionable sitcom, giving network satire one final season, and unveiling a very interesting reality landscape, NBC hopes major strides will be made next season. Notable adjustments to the schedule include holding Smash for midseason, moving Communities to Friday and working on adding a few more sitcoms to their fare. So read on below for the full schedule and catch sneak previews of the new shows. Let us know what you think about it. Of course, as the fall season nears (late this summer), we’ll be back with our TV preview feature.
Stay with us as Fox unveils their TV plans tomorrow afternoon.
Shows not returning to NBC’s schedule: Are You There, Chelsea?, Awake, Bent, Best Friends Forever, Chuck, Free Agents, Harry’s Law, The Playboy Club, Prime Suspect, The Firm
