Oprah’s Favorite Things 2010

So, if you’re like most people, you dream of being in the audience of a talk show like the Oprah Winfrey show or Ellen…..on the episode where they go through their favorite things or Christmas time gifts. Friday, November 18th was the first part of Oprah’s final ‘Favorite Things’ episode and man, oh, man did this audience SCORE! Discuss with us in our forum here and tell us what you think!

Here’s some of the things this audience received:

*First up was Oprah’s “favorite thing to wear – with a Season 25 twist.” A diamond watch that displays two time zones and has a little “O” on the face. Retails for $2,475.
*A Tori Burch custom grey flannel tote with signature flats inside. Together, they cost $410.
*A $700 Nikon Digital SLR, just like the ones Oprah used to take pictures of Steadman at the pumpkin patch!
*A luxe Ralph Lauren limited edition cashmere sweater in a color that reminds Oprah of her dog Sadie. That’d be $498.
*Judith Ripka’s Eclipse canary crystal and white sapphire earrings, which “look like a million bucks, but only cost $525.”
*A hair care line from the only person who has done Oprah’s hair in the last 25 years, Andre Walker.
*A $55 dollar scented home candle… in 18 different scents. Or, as Oprah referred to it, a “Candle-palooza!”
*A $99 panini maker, just like the one Oprah makes a “Love Sandwich” for Steadman on, along with a ceramic knife set for $74.95.
*The world’s best frozen Mac & Cheese from Beecher’s!
*That $35 “Every Brownie has an edge!” brownie pan that you always see in SkyMall. Oprah threw in some brownie mix and the lasagna version of the pan, too.
*Two books: “A Course in Weight Loss” by Marianne Williamson to combat the brownies and lasanga, and “Decoded” by Jay-Z, to counteract your prejudice against hip-hop culture.
*Five years of free Netflix!
*And to watch that five years of movies and TV on… a Sony 52 inch touch screen 3D TV. That goes for $3,600 bucks, but in case you’re not satisfied by that, she threw in a Blu-Ray player, too.
*The Container Store is coming to everyone’s home and building them a super-organized custom closet, which would normally be about $1000 dollars. OCD-gasm!
*Oprah also gave away her favorite comfy “after school clothes” — an “Oprah Winfrey Show” Season 25 long-sleeved T-shirt (which you can get for $38 on her website) and Lulu Lemon drawstring pants, for the low price of $100.
*Four pairs of Free Run Nike sneakers for $85 each
*And, the big kahuna: everyone in the audience will fly United Airlines to board Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas – the biggest cruise ship in the world — for 7 days of rock climbing, ice skating, and basically forgetting that you’re out on the ocean.

One of the nicest touches was a $100 gift card for Kiva.org, which means that the $100 actually goes toward funding someone else’s dream.
