The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced today the co-hosts for the 2011 Oscars. James Franco (127 Hours) and Anne Hathaway (Love & Other Drugs) will join forces at the award ceremony next year. Last year, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin combined hosting duties, but it looks like the Academy is going for a different viewing audience this year – the younger crowd. Fans are hoping this will allow both Franco and Hathaway (recently on SNL) to showcase a different side of their personalities. Franco is a strong contender for Best Actor for his role in 127 Hours and Hathaway is expected to be up for Best Actress for her role in Love & Other Drugs, however, mixed critical reaction to her movie makes a Hathaway victory a long shot.
