[singlepic id=174 w=320 h=240 float=left]Adam Lambert, who competed on American Idol last year, made headlines Sunday Night when he kissed another guy, imitated fellatio, amongst other things. Lambert, who claims he is nobody’s baby-sitter, had his appearance on Good Morning America canceled because of the stunt. Firing back, Lambert decided to go to CBS Morning…Details
The critics of this movie are all shining about Mo’Nique as the evil, selfish, lazy mother to Clareece (Precious) Jones; as well they should.
Mo’Nique is unrecognizable as the abusive mother of Precious, played by newcomer Gabourey Sidibe. You can barely associate her with the sassy/sexy/humorious comedienne that we’re all used to.
You want to throw her ignorant mother down a few flights of stairs after she just got done being chased around in a fish tank by a hungry, angry great white shark! Yes, Mo’Nique makes you hate her. But it’s Mary, Precious’ mother, who you want to see burn on a stake while medievil prayers are chanted to save her soul. Mary’s very ignorance of life and need to “stay on the welfare” will have you saying “Oh no!” all throughout the film. When she plays nice for a visiting social worker, it’s quite humorous.Details
Chris Pine is great as James T. Kirk: he has the flirtatiousness, arrogance and egotistical charm that William Shatner gave the character so many years ago.
Zachary Quinto is a perfect Spock: he brings the seriousness, intelligence & stern need for duty that Leonard Nimoy brought to Spock’s character in the 60’s.
Zoe Saldana plays a very young, upbeat Uhura. Sexy, smart & energetic sides of Uhura that we rarely saw in Nichelle Nichols are portrayed as a playful, but serious Zoe as the communications specialist.
There’s nothing that’s cheesy about this movie; you don’t roll your eyes in your head at any lines and no uncomfortable moments with sexy scenes. The humor is there, but only in the right moments.
I was grateful enough to see this movie at an IMAX theater, so it was no surprise that I’d invest in the DVD…even if buying it for my mother was a good excuse.Details

Hello Yakkity Yaksters! As your movie correspondent, I’ve decided to give you all my honest opinion of some movies that are on DVD. Maybe I haven’t seen them in the theater, maybe I have.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
One word: sucked.
The Emmy award winning reality series, The Amazing Race, has seen it’s ups and downs during it’s many seasons but on the November 15th, 2009 episode it hit a big snag in the eyes of many viewers. Join us in our forum to discuss! But let’s set the stage. During a roadblock, which is a task only one team member can perform, the teams were instructed to go to this mysterious building in Estonia. They were sent with a keyring full of keys and instructed that only one key would open the door, but they had to use their key to open it and the keyhole was in a stone wall.
At one point during this task, Sam and Dan, brothers, used another teams key once it was known which key worked, to enter the building, obviously saving them an immeasurable amount of time. Then the Globetrotters team followed another team in, once that team had found which key worked, effectively skipping the assigned task of not even having to go through their keys. This also saved them an immeasurable amount of time.
Meanwhile, the father and son team of Gary and Matt, who placed last in the previous leg and had to do a Speed Bump, while not quite caught up due to that Speed Bump weren’t apparently that far behind unless the CBS editing made it look that way.
When the 19th installment of Survivor, Survivor: Samoa premiered, Russell Hantz, of Foa Foa, was poised to be the biggest and most hated villian in Survivor history. He was poised to surpass Johnny Fairplay, Richard Hatch, “Coach”, Tyson and others as being the most hated contestant in the entire series. (Join us in our forum to discuss!)
It’s been 10 years since ‘The Blair Witch Project’, a small, independent film made with handheld cameras terrorized moviegoers and made a fortune for the moviemakers. And now we have ‘Paranormal Activity’! Made for a paltry 15 thousand dollars, this lovely little gem tells the story of a suburban couple who become terrifed about the…Details

So, Big Brother 11 has been over for about a month or so and the houseguests have been home, doing their own thing. They’ve been out and about, doing interviews, getting on Facebook/Twitter/Myspace and even making their own blogs. And the fans have been gobbling it up, every bit they can get.
I (Ahrean) can admit, I eat that up as well. I love it. I grab every nugget I can get and read it because I genuinely love hearing all I can. You almost feel like you are a part of their lives because they were a part of yours all summer long. However, as a fan, you have be realistic as well. And this sucks to say, but the houseguests most likely DON’T know you as individuals. They do care, in the sense that without the fans there wouldn’t have been a show and without the show they wouldn’t have gotten the exposure they have now. BUT that doesn’t mean you get to place unrealistic expectations on them either.
Case in point. Jeff and Jordan.
