Greetings one and all please allow me to introduce myself. I am Saint Dagame, patron saint of reality shows as well as high priest of the Church of Gina Gershon and today starts a new era for the Yak. This is the first of many sermons that I will be giving to you, my adoring congregation, so remember this day because it will be one you will rejoice for decades to come.
I have decided to make this first sermon about tainting victories. Did Apollo Creed ruin Rcoky’s title win? Did the Patriots come up with conspiracy theories when they lost the Superbowl to the Giants? Did Arnold Jackson make up excuses why he lost his fight with The Gooch? The answer to all of the above is a resounding no, yet so many of you out there want to taint Kris Allen’s victory over Adam Lambert on American Idol by coming up with crazy conspiracy theories and downright nonsense so I’m here to set you straight.Details

Hello all you Yakksters, as you all know, Big Brother 11 is just around the corner but seeing as the Chenbot has a fresh bun cooking in the oven the question is, just how long will Big Brother 11 be? Yes, it was this week, towards the end of May, that the Big Brother cast finalists were called. In the first week of June, there was an article in TV Guide talking about the new houseguests we had to look forward to. More commercials started to roll through June. End of June, we began hearing the insider info on the hamsters, the final decisions are already made and those who made it in get the call, and shortly thereafter, “press day” arrives and we get to get to see the hamsters themselves.Details
Alright folks, another busy day in my (boring) life and another exciting day in the world of network TV. NBC and ABC presented their fall schedules today and CBS (now on my hated networks list – oh, all 4 spots are now taken!) broke word of canceled shows. Click down below to see what NBC (last season’s 4th place network) and ABC are bringing your TV (Hi-Def and snazzy or not) …Details
Well, May upfronts started today! I’m a big TV nerd, so this is the time of the year I keep up with news like my life depended on it. Some things make me happy about this and some don’t (read: CBS, watch your back!). More on all that later. FOX presented their upcoming schedule and I think this might be one of the few times FOX might be competitive before Idol kicks off! Check below to see what’s around, what’s gone, and what’s new!Details
If you’re anything like me, summertime is the season to be lazy! Granted, those of us with lives might not be able to spend our summers indoors watching network TV, but here’s a guide if you don’t fall into the “with-a-life” category! Delve in below to see what the networks have cooking for us this summer … Feel free to join the discussion in our FORUMS!Details
Yes, I know I am late on this… but with all the hubbub of moving down to the final 2, Gokey leaving, and my other annoyances with the whole shebang, I completely let something slip from my mind, only to have it pop up again in my little brain today… and all I have to say is… WTF American Idol?Details
Hell’s Kitchen 5 had a good finish to the show… Paula DaSilva and Danny Veltri deserved to be there!! I, as a viewer, am over the moon because that makes 2 shows I felt this way about in 2 weeks TAR & HK!!!
Paula’s Red team consisted of Andrea, LA and Lacey. I felt bad for Paula because I do think Lacey was a drain on the team. I still find the return of Lacey to be a huge blunder on Chef Ramsey’s part that makes Hell’s Kitchen a joke. Danny’s Blue team consisted of Ben, Gio and Carol. I was worried about Danny after hearing Gio’s bitter talk but was glad to see him get the job done. I was also relieved to see that Carol did her part desite her hope that Pauls would be victorious.Details
The end is near, yet again, and another season of LOST is about to draw to a close. Nine long months of speculation and waiting for the last season. But with the end of the season the everso predictable bloodlust of Darlton has sprung it’s ugly head, as it does at the close of every season. What is it with this death hunger they feel the need to feed? They already took Faraday from us, why have another beloved character enter the LOST graveyard as well? At one point they explained that it would be unbelievable to have a show like LOST with NO deaths but dear god in heaven, when is enough enough?
Here are the facts, or rather, fact. A major, much beloved character WILL die in the Season Five finale, they’ve already told us this. And from what I’ve read on various spoiler sites, the impact it will leave on most fans emotionally will be right up there with the gut-wrenching emotions a lot of fans had when Charlie (still miss and adore you Dom!) died at the end of Season 3. So I thought I’d take a moment and analyze each major character’s likelihood of meeting the Grim Reaper on tomorrow night’s episode.Details
