“Pretty Wild” Star Alexis Neiers Sent to Rehab After Drug Bust

Alexis Neiers, one of the stars of the E! reality show “Pretty Wild” was ordered to spend a year in residential rehab after a December 1st arrest for possession of black tar heroin and a fake ID. As many know, she was released on July 1st from Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, CA after serving 30 days of a 180 day sentence….this was in relation to her no contest plea to burglarizing Orlando Bloom’s home.

She is one of many from the infamous “Bling Ring”, who, along with Bloom’s home, also reportedly targeted Lindsay Lohan and Audrina Patridge’s home. She did avoid a two year sentence for her most recent antics, but also received a warning from the judge in that if she appeared in his courtroom again for drug charges she’d go to prison.

Okay, here’s where I step out of writer/Yak mode and into a personal perspective mode. Why E! even chose to glamorize a group of CRIMINAL teenagers who thought it’d be cool to break into the homes of stars and steal things is beyond me. Is anyone else getting sick of reality shows and networks who choose to enable people’s bad behavior? Commit a crime, get your own reality show! Wear a two foot high Bumpit, tan to the point of being camouflaged when near anything made of brown leather and drink to the point where you black out? Get on Barbara Walter’s Most Fascinating People list! I don’t know about anyone else but I’m sick of these people getting fame and fortune for doing worse than nothing……..and it’s not just behaving badly, it’s being a criminal. This teaches our children nothing good, and the influence on them is shudder inducing.

I say put her in jail for awhile instead of coddling her in some posh rehab facility. And someone please tell her that those red sunglasses are awful..
