When Prison Break ended in 2009, Robert Knepper’s character was sent back to the slammer in the series finale, an ending many fans saw fitting for the baddie T-Bag. Now, T-Bag might be brought back to a small screen near you. Prison Break producers Nick Santora and Matt Olmstead are in talks with Knepper to reprise his role as T-Bag in their new drama Breakout Kings. According to an article from EW, sources at 20th Century Fox have signed off on the crossover, so Knepper’s deal is the only thing left to be finalized.
Breakout Kings is described as an “action-packed ensemble drama following an unconventional partnership between the U.S. Marshals’ office and a group of convicts as they work to catch fugitives on the run.” The show received a last-minute pickup by A&E after Fox turned it down for the season. Kings is set to premiere in early 2011.
