Project Runway 10: A Look At the Season Finale

10 years of fashion! 9 fashion designers crowned, and the 10th tonight! Exciting… YES!!

I have to say, this has been my favorite season of project runway as of yet! The designs have been grand, the designers hilarious.

We are down to the final 4, and before the show started I made sure to right down my opinion on each as of yet:

Fabio: My least favorite throughout the season, never really wowed me with any of his clothes
Melissa: I loved her at the beginning, but think she waned a bit throughout the competition and was a tad predictable
Christopher: Truly a great designer. But I either loved or hated his clothes, we don’t really have the same taste.
Dmitry: My absolute favorite all season long. I have loved nearly every single one of his looks. However, last week I really didn’t like his collection pieces, which makes me very upset!

Last week we found out that all 4 designers are getting to run the catwalk at fashion week. However, none of them got particularly good critiques, and all really need to re-figure there styling and how to match their pieces. Fabio’s collection wasn’t expensive, Dmitry’s matronly, Melissa’s limited and Christopher’s boring.

2 days to fashion show

The group get their final trip to mood and 300 dollars to spend! Obviously everyone is very happy about that. When they get back, they all basically diss each-others collection.

However, MORE IMPORTANTLY, anyone else notice Danielle, winner of ANTM cycle 6 as one of Fabio’s models? It made me so happy to see her working! One of my favorite winners. Now, back to the reality show at hand.

Chris is being a true negative nancy at the moment, and is getting WAY too much screen time. He can’t seem to be happy about one thing.

Day Before Runway Show

Tim comes in to check on everyone, and after basically everything that Tim said, Christopher made some negative remark. He is really starting to get on my nerves!

We’re down to three hours, and Christopher and Melissa are running around like headless chickens, while Christopher gets lippy with Gunn. Not cool Christopher, not cool!

On With the Show

Ok, so the shows were pretty good altogether, but obviously I can’t go over every look, but I gave each one a score and averaged them out to my mini leader-board:
Dmitry – 8.3
Melissa – 8.3
Fabio – 8.0
Christopher – 7.7

Obviously, it was very close between the designers, I will quickly show you my 2 favorite, and 2 least favorite looks from the show.

Favorites

The first look is one of Dmitry’s dresses. It is absolutely gorgeous, and so fashionable! I loved it!

The second of my favorite looks on the runway is one of Fabio’s looks. This is simply gorgeous, so light and I am in love with the colors.

Not so favorites…

The first of the looks I was not fond with at all is another look by Fabio.. I loved his dresses, but I felt his tops and shorts need work. Also, this is the look Danielle (ANTM6) was wearing!!!

Next, is one of Christophers looks.  I just thought it was very plain. The jacket was nice, but the shorts and the top were just horrible.

Judging

In the judging, everyone got great critiques, and the judges seemed happy with all the collections. However in private judging, it definitely came down to Dmitry and Fabio.

When it came down to it:

4th : Christopher (rightly so)

3rd: Melissa (She does need more time to find herself)

At this point, I was really wanting Dmitry to win but I took note that Fabio REALLY surprised me in his final show, and I definitely saw that he deserved to be there with his looks.

When it came down to it the winner of Project Runway 10 is

DMITRY SHOLOKHOV
