13 previous designers, unfortunately, we aren’t getting the best of the best because of last years all-stars… but they are still pretty good. Each designer is very unique, and our fabulous All-Stars are:
Joshua (Runner up, Season 9) – I just can’t stand him… he can make amazing dresses, but he seriously needs to be off my TV
Emilio (Runner up, Season 7) – I was never wowed by him, but he always seemed to wow the judges.
Althea (Runner up, Season 6) – Should have won her season by a LONG SHOT. So happy to see her back.
Anthony Ryan (7th place, Season 9)- I don’t know why he’s here… he wasn’t memorable or even particularly good in season 9.
Suede (5th Place, Season 5) – YEY, everyone needs a bit of Suede in there life!
Laura Kathleen (5th Place, Season 9)- Meh, girly. Need to see more edge!
Ivy (8th Place, Season 8) – I was in love with her in Season 8, very interested to see what she does
Peach (11th Place, Season 8)- Never surprised me… she is very nice.
Casanova (10th Place, Season 8)- Ivy’s assistant? Really? Contestants are really tangled up!
Uli (Runner up, Season 3) – If she can bring a new side of Uli, I will be interested.
Kayne (5th Place, Season 3)- Nothing interesting going on here.
Andrae (6th Place, Season 2)- Who?
Wendy Pepper (3rd Place, Season 1) – Hell. To. The. Yeah. Can’t wait to see a bit of Wendy drama, and Wendy designs!!
Ok, so with the designers all meeting and greeting and what-not over. We get to the studio, and Carolyn Murphy is the new host… woo? I have to say the only reason I am watching this season is for the designers. These new judges and hosts have nothing on the originals! Give me a bit of Heidi, Nina and Micheal over these guys ANYDAY.
Anyhow, the winners prize has been upped to a multitude of prizes worth over 750,000 dollars! Woah! These designers better bring their A-game!
Joanna, Tim’s replacement, is the one person I can stand from the new bunch and tells the designers that the first challenge is a group challenge. Each group gets to choose a word to base there collection around, and each designer makes one look to go into this mini-collection. The aim is to be cohesive and modern.
The teams are:
Team Confident: Kayne, Uli, Casanova, Ivy, Althea, Anthony Ryan and Wendy.
Team Bold: Joshua, Peach, Laura, Emilio, Andrae, Suede.
There isn’t really any angst in any of the teams, even with how hard the edit tried to make it look there was. Althea was a bit bossy apparently, and Laura and Andrae are chihuahuas. Boom, that’s the drama folks!
After a day of buying fabric and starting on looks, the designers go to there new penthouse suite! Where everyone is very lovey-dovey (how sweet), and Wendy gets taken aback by the fact the designers she is going to “mow down” are being so nice!
Back at the workroom, seems to be some helping out within teams, and there really must have been no drama whatsoever this week, because the dramatic moment seemed to be when Laura said she would finish her work before helping others… Wow… Dramatic.
The Runway
Ok, it seems like every week in nearly every season ever been, my favorite design doesnt make it into the top 3, and some design which I definitely do not like is there too! Along with that there is always some hideous design which cant be denied as being hideous. Therefore, as much as I would like to give you my opinion on all the designs, I can’t. So I am going to show you what I think to be the Under-rated Design, Over-rated Design and the Fashion Faux-Pas of the episode.
This week all my choices come from the winning team: Team Confident. I do think it was the better team over-all, but I don’t think the judging within the team was done very well.
We start with the Fashion Faux-Pas: Kayne. I just don’t know what this is, there is too much going on, it is NOT well constructed. It is a costume, plain and simple.

The designer who’s look was, in my opinion over-rated: Anthony. This design went on to win the challenge, but this is all-stars and just because it had a bit of flair in the back does not constitute a win. The pants were horribly constructed, the front of the top was not nice, and the back wasn’t to my liking either. It wasn’t horrible. But it definitely was not a winning look.

The design which I think was definitely under-rated: Wendy Pepper’s. I think this design had flair, it had lines, it was sleek. If it wasn’t for whatever that thing at the crotch is, I would call this amazing. It deserved a spot in that top 3 much more than Anthony and Casanova.

Judging
In the judging with the judges, Anthony took the win, closely followed by Ivy and Casanova. Then, from Team Bold, Peach was eliminated, meaning Suede and Andrae were spared with there low scores.
Ok, if you have read my ANTM recaps, you would know I am a fan of tables, and numbers in general. So for Project Runway I am continuing with this. However, to make this my own, each look is going to get a score, from me out of 10 each week, along with the scores they get from there position in the calling out. 16 for first call, all the way down to 0 for elimination. This week, obviously Anthony is in the lead after his win, with Andrae and Suede needing to prove themselves, however, for me, it’s Kayne that needs to prove himself.

I am not sure how much drama there is gonna be this season, however, we are sure to see some fashion miracles, and fashion disasters! Stay Tuned.
Much Love,
Luke
