Recap: Live-feed mini Yakdate, Fri. July 23

No clear sleeping time for the houseguests in the BB house early this morning. Matt and Ragan stayed up VERY late (until about 4:30am BBT) to discuss nominations. It seems as if Andrew and Kathy will be going up with Kathy as this week’s target. Meanwhile, the more important things were being discussed. Like how Rachel thinks Brendon is her soulmate and how she is now playing for the Jury house (smart move) so that she and Brendon can have a long summer vacation together. I wonder what Brendon thinks about that…All houseguests seem to be officially sleeping by 6am BBT.

Rachel was up by 9am BBT getting ready for another day. Something must have happened to set miss Rachel over the edge! The HGs are on an indoor lockdown (probably to take down the HOH comp) and she was doing her workout in the cabana room bawling her eyes out over who knows what. Then she moved on to sprints. It’s Tae Bo Barbella I Done Flipped My Lid style ~ Ahrean Apparently Rachel was trying to rid herself of the alcohol she gorged in last night. Around 10am BBT, Big Brother finally decided it was time to wake the houseguests up.

Matt explains to Brendon and Rachel the plan that he and Ragan decided last night during the end of the HOH comp. That plan is to not nominate Brendon or Rachel UNLESS the POV is used. With this plan, Rachel is scared about the possibility of  not playing for and winning the POV, so she even brought up the notion of her being nominated from the start.

Brenda complaining that it makes him sick to see competitors jump off so they could eat. … Helllllooooo, you’re just a jerk anyway. You have other stuff to eat. ~ Grandmamichelf

Britney has a “jenius” theory….Hayden and Kristen are twins. Monet told her this theory based on similarities between the two she has noticed. Must have missed the make out sessions between the two. Enough of that nonsense. Let’s get to more exciting matters. America voted for baby food and bok choy for the have-nots this week. Apparently they also get crackers, juice, cereal, and brown rice. Sardines and sauerkraut is what I voted for figured that Enzo could then blow the others out of the house. ~ Sassygal

The most exciting tift of the afternoon might arguably have been Rachel and Andrew fighting over refrigerator space, which of course Rachel took personally. And she wasn’t pleased when Brendon mentioned that she might have actually taken it a bit too far…Matt in a bath robe. He looks like a little kid trying on his dad’s clothes. ~ Knucklehead

Around 6:30pm BBT, feeds were back and we found out that Matt officially nominated Andrew and Kathy for eviction. Not much drama happening post-nominations, but Andrew and Kathy definitely realizing they’re “outcasts” and confused why they are the targets and up for eviction. (Editor’s note: it really does make no sense.) Matt doesn’t plan on encouraging one to be evicted over the other. Gee, how thoughtful. Depending on how POV goes, we may see some drama with replacements, but chances are definitely not. Remember, it’s the summer of sabotage. Sabotaging the way enjoy Big Brother.

She’ll {Kathy} win it if it involves who can crawl the slowest from the HOH to the backyard couches and smoke a cigarette. ~ Kristin

Later that night, POV players were chosen. Looks like Brendon, Rachel and Lane will play alongside Matt, Kathy, and Andrew for POV. We’re not sure the POV will be played and if it will interfere with Andrew observing the Sabbath until sundown on Saturday. POV comps are typically played Saturday in the BB house. Will they make him choose between his faith and the game? I sure as hell hope not. That’s low. In the meantime, the Brigade complaining about how they couldn’t catch a break. Well, uh, excuse me…you could have nominated Brendon and Rachel from the start if your’e now angry things might not go your way. Meow meow obviously misled the Brains on this one. And in true Big Brother 12 fashion, NOTHING else happened today to give us something to talk about. Britney did call Brendon and Rachel the “Dollar Tree version of Jeff and Jordan” though. Sad when that’s likely the best quote of the day. Hopefully tomorrow brings more Yaktastic excitement to report. Till then, my friends, don’t use any red hair dye. It kills brain cells.
